Age Group: 20's to 30's

This very active age group can benefit from many of our procedures and have a lifetime of enjoyment of their vision ahead of them. Typically by now, their vision has stabilized and they can enjoy freedom from eyeglasses and contact lenses for decades without even having to worry about any need for reading glasses! The cost of Laser Vision Correction(LVC), that is, the one time expense of having LVC versus the ongoing expense of glasses and contact lenses is easy to see.

Obviously, the greatest issue in this group is determining when the vision is developed and stable enough to undergo LVC. I would recommend a comprehensive eye examination in the teen years and we will be able to predict eligibility. Procedures most likely performed on this age group of patients are LASIK, PRK or Phakic IOL.
