To be able to wake up and see the clock in my room is still astonishing to me daily. I would also like to thank you for how comfortable you and your whole staff made me feel throughout the process.

So, it’s the day after surgery and I am still in disbelief.
After wearing contacts for so long, it’s really hard to comprehend that I am not wearing contacts and glasses yet I am still able to see. When I woke up this morning, my first thought was, “Oh no, I slept with my contacts in!” So I would say that confusion is the main emotion that I am feeling today. I haven’t seen clearly without any aid for the past 15 or so years, so for this to seemingly “magically” occur, it’s hard to believe. Hard to believe, but beyond relieving.
Also to my surprise, it doesn’t feel like a typical morning after a surgery/procedure. My eyes don’t hurt, I can see clearly already, and I am not taking any pain medications like you would after a typical surgery. I haven’t had to do anything more than put a few drops in my eyes.
I also just can’t believe how quickly life is back to normal. I stopped to eat on my way home after my procedure last night, and I was able to go for a walk this morning and visit with friends and family, watch TV, and pretty much do everything I could on a “normal” day.
Morning after = success and happiness :)
